Booking

Bookings are made on a half-day (up to 5 hours) or full-day basis (typically 8-10 hours) since clock watching is a drag. Rates include both the studio and engineer fees. For needs requiring less time such as bouncedowns, please contact us. A deposit of 50% is required to hold dates; remaining balance is due in full at close of session. The studio is open to outside engineers under special arrangement; please contact for details. We suggest visiting engineers bring a Mac-formatted external hard drive to back up work to; The Bastille is not liable for files left on our system.

To work with files you’ve already recorded at home or another studio, there are a couple things to be aware of/steps to take. Save your files in WAV or AIFF format, and ensure that they all start at your session 0:00 point – this ensures that they will be aligned when imported. If you’re working in Pro Tools this isn’t an issue; just bring the Pro Tools session folder and audio files. Ensure that all files (not just the track tabs!) are labeled (ie, “snare top” “fuzz guitar.”) If you wish to record to a click, it is advisable to determine the tempo of songs prior to entering the studio and, particularly for drummers, to practice to a click.
